I'll try to keep this short as possible. My friend has a boyfriend that was in a bad accident that resulted in brain injury. She's been going at least once a week, sometimes two days, even the whole week at times to help take care of him, for I think close to 3 years (and it's about 80 miles one-way). His mom and stepdad go everyday except the day(s) my friend goes. Anyway, my friend and the guy fell in love with each other throughout that time. He's not able to walk or talk but he can write and motion, stuff like that, and he asked my friend to marry him. His mom figured things out and didn't like the idea, so since she has power of attorney over him, she fixed things so that my friend nor anyone from her family, a messenger, no one whatsoever can get ahold of him. Anyway, my question is does anyone know of any loophole to where she can go see him whether his mom likes it or not? She's known the guy since they were kids & breaks her heart to think she'll never see him again.

Thanks for your answers so far. I also should've mentioned that he had the accident a couple months before my friend started helping out with him. So she knew him pretty well before the accident and the guy knows what his feelings are.
Also, he can't write a lot, just a word here and there and at times a few sentences. Some things are hard to make out, so I don't think he'd be able to be the one to make something happen.
An unfortunately, yes his mom is also his guardian.

Son hit from behind and suffered head lacerations (25 stitches) and post concussion symptons. Truck totalled and he could not drive for 30 days following accident due to dizziness. Grades suffered for honor student who is graduating senior. I just want to make sure the insurance company pays the maximum amount to cover potential future problems. I have not retained an attorney yet.

I hired an attorney for a personal injury from an auto accident. I feel like I am having to keep on him to find out what is going on. For example: We had a questions from the defendants attorney to answer. Which we did and met with our attorney to go over our answers. I wasn't sure on something from my past, so he was going to do a background check. Let me know what came up, if anything, answer the question asked accordingly and send a copy of our answers to us and to the defendant's attorney. This was back in Sept. I called at the end of Oct. asking about it, he hadn't done the background check yet. Not a problem, he'll take care of it. Well, it's the end of Nov. now and I haven't heard back. Now, we also have an appointment for depositions at the end of Dec. I am concerned that this attorney ***** badly. Is it normal for an attorney to be this way? Yes, I realize I'm not his only client.

It`s easy to call Americans "cowards" for not discussing race more openly, but doesn`t he miss the point that discussing race in a unbiased truthful spirited direction can open people to defamation, insult, injury, and the loss of career opportunities. Most of our dialogue with members of other races happens on the jobsite where one misspoke word can get us fired and open our companies to civil prosecution. We cant have honest dialogue until we remove the consequences for being open. Your thoughts?

What is the type of attorney or name for the attorney who handles things like this:
The post office delivered a package to unit #4 instead of 44 , I did not know this was what happened when my package failed to arrive, it took hours of tracking down the package, calling the postal service hot line and asking individual mail carriers at the post office,The package was expensive, it costed a couple hundred dollars. And he gave it to the neighbors instead of the person who it was addressed to who spent the money on the package. They did not offer to do an investigation to recover the package, instead they told me to go and try to get it back from the neighbors, while I was there I chipped my tooth falling down on my bike. Now I have to go to the dentist for a chipped tooth. I really **** these people. This was stuff for school and I spent hours anticipating the arrival of my stuff, days worrying about where it was when it did not show up. And hours tracking it down, to the point of having to miss school. The package was not insured because the company who shipped it didn't insure it though, but The mail carrier, said he remembers giving the package to a person and it wasn't us. The company who shipped it says they definitely generated the correct address on the package, and I saw the conformation email with the correct address, but the post office guy said it said unit 4, and that was why he took it to unit 4. But It did not say unit 4 . So unit 4 has the package of stuff , and probably wanted to keep it because it was "free stuff" not even stuff they needed anywhere near as much as the person who it was addressed to. They would not open the door when I knocked.
Is it a personal injury attorney? Or would I just go to small claims court with no attorney, I think this is more serious than small claims.
Also If you could keep the comments like how dare you sue, too many people are suing other people that's whats wrong with America, please just don't write that. I was cheated out of a lot of hard earned money.
